05th May 2021
Whether you’ve bought your first home and you’re ready to move in, or you’re currently moving from one house to another: there’s no doubt you’ve been given all the tips and tricks of the book to the process. You’ll probably have been told just how stressful the event is or been given advice you didn’t really need. There are plenty of myths that people tell during a house move, that we’re here to argue aren’t actually true.
It’s Easy to Do It Yourself
After you’ve just bought a new property, paying your legal fees and everything else involved, it can sometimes be an issue to then fork out more money for a removal company which is why many people believe they can do it themselves. The thing is with removal companies is that they have experience in helping people move houses and whilst you may have moved once or twice before and thought you know what you’re doing, these people do it day in and day out. They will know all the best tips and tricks for an effective move, and will also ensure all your belongings are kept safe and secure.
Moving on a Friday is Best
There are seven days in a week, yet most people believe that settling for one as the moving day is the best option. We understand that having the weekend to unpack sounds like a great idea, particularly for those who work full time but in reality, many different things can go wrong on the day of completion and delays can be put in place. Should you not be able to complete on your desired Friday, you would have to completely unpack all of the moving vans you’ve spent so long sorting, before having to repeat the process again on Monday. If you look to complete mid-week and this occurs, most removal companies will allow you to keep everything stored in the van, and then try again the following day.
Moving To A New House is the Most Stressful Thing You’ll Ever Do
