Prep For Winter Now
26th August 2021
We know, we know! It’s not even September yet, but it’s always good to keep ahead of the game with these things. With the winter months seemingly getting colder, darker, and (what feels like) longer, it’s good to check the essentials before the Baltic weather is upon us.
Check your radiators
We would like to assume that like you, your heating system has had some rest over the spring and summer. With them being dormant for weeks or months at a time, it’s always good practice to make sure they’re working optimally throughout the house.
Prep for drying clothes indoors
We all know winter means rain in this country, and with the heating now getting its seasonal work out it feels like a no-brainer to dry your clothes indoors. It’s always good to make sure this is an area that will minimise potential condensation.
Get your boiler serviced
The nightmare scenario around the holiday season is to have some kind of boiler failure, not only leaving you without hot water but coming (more often than not) at an eye-watering premium to fix. Have your boiler serviced before winter gets into full swing.
Get your gutters cleaned
Like with the above, a leaky roof is pretty high up there when it comes to wintertime catastrophes. Get your gutters cleated while the foliage is still fresh and falling.
